Mr. Patrick A. Asiamah

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Patrick A. Asiamah is the Chief Executive Officer of SYNLAB Ghana. He worked as Global Head of Portfolio & Product Marketing at mPharma, here in Ghana and abroad (Nigeria, Zambia and Kenya). He has worked in other multinational organizations such as Sandoz, Ernest Chemist (Johnson & Johnson) and Shalina Healthcare.

Patrick holds an Executive MBA in Marketing Strategy and a Degree in Biochemistry. He has 15 years of expertise in Sales and Marketing, including Business Development, Sustaining Market Share Gains, Wrestling Market Leadership, and Business Operation Strategies.

Dr. Byrite Asamoah

Head of Imaging & Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Byrite Asamoah is Head of Imaging at SYNLAB Ghana. He graduated from medical school at KNUST earning his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB). He further specialized in Diagnostic Radiology at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons earning his MGCP-Radiology. He also holds a Master of Science in Advanced Public Health from the University of Bradford, UK, earning a Distinction.

He brings to bear over 12 years of clinical practice and leadership experience spanning general medical practice, emergency medicine, telemedicine and radiology services within the Ghana Health Service and the Military Hospital establishments.

Dr. Asamoah is a member of the Ghana Medical Association, Ghana Association of Radiologist’s and is in good standing with the Medical and Dental Council, Ghana.

Mr. Leonard Kakuunaa

Director, Quality & Compliance

Leonard Lennox Kakuunaa is the Director of Quality Assurance and Laboratory Compliance at SYNLAB Ghana.

He holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Salford Business School, Manchester (UK). He also holds a certificate in Leadership and Healthcare management from the University of Washington (USA).

He has over 16 years of management experience in Operations management leadership, Quality management, Risk management and Laboratory Compliance, Healthcare management and Project management.

He is an expert in ISO:15189 (particular requirements for quality and competence) for Diagnostics laboratories: ISO:17025 for Testing and Calibration laboratories.

He is very passionate about process improvements and implementation of quality systems. He is a strategist in healthcare management, and he is business-oriented.

Stephen Folivi

Director of Sales

A seasoned commercial executive with a proven history of catalyzing revenue growth, spearheading business, and market development, and orchestrating transformative team development. Stephen joined SYNLAB with over 18 years of commercial experience within FMCG and Pharmaceutical companies such as Unilever, Accra Brewery, Ernest Chemists, and mPharma. 

Stephen Holds a Master of Art in Strategic Marketing from the University of Ghana and a Master of Science in Business Consulting and Risk Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana.

Abigail Yeboah Owiredu

Head, Marketing & Customer Service

Abigail has over 15 years’ worth of experience in traditional and digital marketing. She has immense knowledge in Strategy Development, Marketing and Sales, Budgeting, Project Management, Research among others. Her experience spans several industries from FMCG, Pharmaceutical and, automobile having worked with companies such as Fanmilk, Adcock Ingram/ Ayrton Drugs and Mechanical Lloyd.

Abigail believes that there is more than one way to attain an objective, and this is birthed from her creative, innovative, and versatile capabilities. 
She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana.
